Bancroft’s Butterfly Ball was held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at The Merion in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The evening marked our 19th annual gala, an event that consistently draws a premier crowd and is attended by more than 300 guests. This year, Bancroft honored Dr. Larry Goren of OnSite Innovations, and The Graham Company with awards for their significant contributions to Bancroft and the community. We were also pleased to feature Megan Smetona, a graduate of The Bancroft School, who shared her story with our guests, including her extraordinary artistic talents.
This year’s Ball raised approximately $340,000 to support Bancroft programs for children and adults! The proceeds of which represent nearly one-third of the Margaret Bancroft Annual Fund, which is the unrestricted donations the organization needs and relies on to support its programs and services annually. The Margaret Bancroft Annual Fund supports every aspect of the educational and life experience of those served by Bancroft, from facility improvements to assistive technology, extracurricular activities to vocational training.
